Upcoming Events: Meet Our Sources

R.S. Taylor & Sons - Tuesday, August 30, 2016

At R.S. Taylor, we think it’s important to support other local farms. We offer an array of local and seasonal foods to complement our farm-brewed ales, sourced from these farms. Though our menu items often change, we always use locally-sourced ingredients to make them.

We source from:

Consider Bardwell Farm – A farm in West Pawlet, NY that makes small batches of cheese from whole, fresh milk that is antibiotic and hormone-free.

Slack Hollow Farm – Slack Hollow provides us with delicious produce and herbs from their farm in West Hebron, NY.

Cornell Farm– A diverse family farm in Hoosick Falls, NY that has been around since 1940!

Grazin' Acres Farm- Grazin’ Acres Farms raises all pasture-living animals, including grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork, and non-GMO chicken and eggs on their North Hebron, NY farm.

Goose Island Potatoes – Goose Island Potatoes is a family farm that has been owned and operated by the McKernon family for generations. They offer a variety of white potatoes – known as “Goose Island Potatoes” – from their farm in Argyle, NY.

Locust Grove Smokehouse– This small, family-run meat processing plant has been in operation since 1973. They process and slaughter both beef and pork.

McMurry's Sunset Farm – McMurry’s Sunset Farm is a small, family-owned farm born out of Jeff McMurry’s passion for farming. They raise a variety of livestock and eggs that are sold in stores local to their farm in Argyle, NY, and at farmers markets.

Battenkill Valley Creamery – Battenkill Valley Creamery has been passed down from generation to generation as a dairy farm in Salem, NY. The family began bottling their own milk about ten years ago, and has since added a creamery onto the business.
